I took Betz White's Craftsy class, Project Upcycle last week. In one quick project, Betz makes a wallet from a shirt cuff but I am broke so no wallet required! I made a needle book instead. I like to keep a needle book with each wip, very handy to have threaded needles at the ready! While I was cutting into this thrifted Talbot's shirt, I decided to couple it with a yellow linen blouse. I am a little undecided about the finished blouse but I love the yellow and teal. Like my embroidery garden, it maybe growing on me! 'Bee'ing Social! Jessica Pearl

What a great idea! I'm like you, I need at least a little pair of scissors with every project :0)
ReplyDeleteany upcycling effort is worth doing. It is the only way to learn what you like and how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and yellow color combo in both your garden and your new shirt!!
ReplyDeleteI am really digging your embroidery garden, Jess!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you are amazing!

Very creative. I lovely Craftsy classes, but I don't have this one.
ReplyDeleteWas the class good generally, would you recommend it? Just come over to your blog after you left a lovely comment on mine, still more browsing to do but I'm really enjoying exploring so far, I love thrifting and upcycling things so your posts have been right up my street.
